IX

I have seen the fabric that holds it all together.
I have sucked it through my pupils
when they were gaping black holes in the universe.
I know exactly what you are talking about
because I have effectively displaced all the air in my lungs with it.
It looks like a thick blanket of translucent threads,
woven together in an argyle pattern with all of the colors of the rainbow.
When the times get tough, I just breath it in.
When they ask me what I'm doing
I just say that "I'm breathing in the argyle man".
You know what I'm talking about.
